Note: This procedure requires the application Native Access. If you have not installed it yet, you can download Native Access from this page.
After purchasing a KONTAKT Library from the NI Online Shop (e.g. Strummed Acoustics, Abbey Road Drummer Series, Alicia's Keys, etc.), the product will automatically be added to your Native Instruments account and appear in the 'Not Installed' tab of Native Access. Follow the steps below to set up the KONTAKT Library that you have purchased on the NI Online Shop.
Note: if you want to set up a third party KONTAKT Library, please read this article instead. If you want to set up a third party KONTAKT Library you have purchased in the NI online shop, contact the Library's manufacturer for setup instructions.
1: Start Native Access from the following location on your computer:Format: Kontakt 3 and higher (full version required!) Audio examples: Free AcousticGuitar is a simple but well-recorded and programmed acoustic guitar Kontakt library. The samples are loaded as a multi and are separated into attack+ sustain, releases and fret noise sounds and come in different velocities. KSHMR & 7 SKIES – NEVERLAND LEAD. - Mac: Macintosh HD > Applications > Native Access
- Windows: C: > Program Files > Native Instruments > Native Access
To get your free copy of the Kontakt Factory Selection library, simply add Komplete Start to your Native Instruments account. The free Komplete Start bundle contains Kontakt Player, Kontakt Factory Selection, Play Series Selection, and several other music production software goodies. Note: If this is your first time using the Kontakt interface, you will need to download the Kontakt 5.3 version before you can install the 5.6 update. (The download for this file will be on the same page as the 5.6 update. Just scroll down.) Also, the free version will say “Kontakt 5 Player 5.3.0 Win” or “Kontakt 5 Player 5.3.0 Mac OS X”. I have Maschine installed but i cant find the factory library (the factory sounds that come with it) for it anywhere onine. Same with kontakt. I cant find windows platform factory library. I can find Mac Kontakt factory library but not windows.
2: Your newly purchased product appears in the 'Not installed' tab of Native Access.
3: Press on the 'INSTALL' button above the purchased Library to launch the installation process.
Note: we recommend to install KONTAKT Libraries on an external hard drive. To do so, you must change the Content Location before launching the installation process. Kontakt Library Free Download
4: During the download and installation of your product, Native Access displays an 'INSTALLING' progress bar under the product's name. Once the installation process is finished, the product will be marked in green as 'INSTALLED'. You can now close Native Access.
