For Fender Stratocaster and Telecaster guitars, the proper size of this gap varies slightly with fingerboard radius: Neck Radius. 7.25' 9.5'-12' 15'-17' Relief.012” (0.3 mm).010” (0.25 mm).008” (0.2 mm) For Fender bass guitars, the optimal measurements again vary slightly according to fingerboard radius. Important Strat Dimensions For you to choose the correct Callaham bridge for your instrument, you must determine your body thickness, string spacing, and mounting spacing. For any of our strat bridges to fit your guitar you first must have an 1 3/4 inch thick body (44.5mm). If your body is under 1 3/4', you will need a cut down block. The Fender Stratocaster by A.R. Duchossir on page 45 there is a detailed factory blueprint of a '62 Vintage reissue body from Fullerton, I don't have a scanner sorry and to photograph it wouuldn't help, but if you go to a Borders or Barnes and Noble, or equivalent booksellers, this drawing has all the cutaways and reliefs detailed as well.
